Our world is filled with some pretty amazing people. I can name atleast 5.  Nelson Mandela, Matt Damon, Laura Stradiotto, Robin McNicoll and James Franco.  Unfortunately we are also surrounded by quite a few douches.  If you look up douche in the dictionary the face of two men will appear.  Chad Kroeger and Nicolas Cage are captains of the douche factory.  We’ve already interviewed Chad so now we’ve decided to see how Nic would answer our celebrity interview.

Nicolas Cage was born on January 7, 1964 and since his mom was unable to stuff him back in he started his douche quest. I’ve always wondered how this incredibly unfortunate looking man with no substance made it into the entertainment business.  I’ve asked experts like David Suzuki, Bill Nye the Science Guy and Antoine Dodson and they all said they don’t really know, fo’ real!  Then I wikipedia’d him and found out that his uncle is  Francis Ford Coppola.  Sooo….maybe that’s how?  I don’t know that’s still a stretch.

See Nic’s answers to our interview below. *Note all answers are based on a true story

1) What is your favourite 90’s sitcom?

I banged her and by Rita I mean this 19 year old girl that I knocked up and married.  I’m so great.

Holy Smokes!! What the crunk!?  We just landed ourselves another celebrity inteview. What the grill!  Our latest interview is with the great Canadian crunk band Sans Serif.  The band consists of these crazy cats: Stu Ron Hubbard, Peter Chipman, Stephanie Gora, Jason Meisner, Jeremy Toma, Jack Dalziel & Rachel Wise.  If you don’t know Sans Serif, you probably don’t even know what colour pants your wore yesterday or maybe you didn’t even wear pants.  Seriously you should know this band.  Your life will probably change just by listening to their music. Before I started listening to Sans Serif I seriously hated roasted peppers…now they are a regular part of my daily diet. I am absolutely certain that I have Sans Serif to thank for my new found love of roasted peppers.  Check them out here grab a plate of vegetables you think you hate and read our interview.

1) What is your favourite 90’s sitcom?
I would definitely have to go with newsradio. even the last season without phil hartman is really good (especially since jon lovitz had already played something like 2 different characters on the show). and somehow andy dick is really funny in it. plus maura tierney’s kind of a babe.

2) Do you own any music by Rita MacNeil?
No. but we do have a copy of the barbara striesand album ‘superman’ up on our wall: http://www.allmusic.com/album/streisand-superman-r26528

3) Do you have any nicknames?
Sometimes we refer to jeremy as jerome. other times we just call him a jerk. actually, he’s alright (though not single… sorry ladies).

4) Do you have a favourite youtube video?  If so, what?
Recently i’ve been watching celebrity autobiography on youtube. it’s where comedians read excerpts from quintessential celebrity autobiographies.  here’s one featuring the early poems of suzanne somers

5) Do you have a favorite hat? If so please describe or send us a photo of you wearing said hat.
Sometimes peter wears a robot hat. well really it’s more like a mask/helmet. we really haven’t gotten past robots yet. we totally missed the whole vampire thing, and now we’re way behind this zombie craze.  maybe we can catch up in time for the next fad. i’m crossing my fingers it will have something to do with tony danza.

6) Do you have any hidden talents? If so, please describe, or send us a
video of you demonstrating said talent.
I don’t know about hidden talents, but here are some sans serif secrets (all completely true): steph sings better after eating salt and vinegar chips; jason has taken boudoir photographs of himself (he may be sprawled on top of a fish tank); jack thinks everything went downhill after the blue jays won the world series in 1993; rachel’s cat hasn’t learnt to play fight yet, so i get cuts all over my hands.

I’m pretty sure this band is my band sibling from another mother.  Thanks for the response guys!!

Our latest interview is with Rick Campanelli.  Rick is known nowadays for his work on ET Canada.  If you are like me you remember him as Rick the Temp from Much Music.  He is not very tall, but he had very strong and bountiful answers to one of my questions.  The rest I’ve answered for him since I think I know him pretty well.  I met him years ago on the set of Much Music. I hung out with him and Pauly Shore for probably more than 64 seconds!

1) What is your favourite 90’s sitcom?
**ACTUAL ANSWER
Seinfeld.

2) Do you own any music by Rita MacNeil?

Rita and I used to date. I used to own every one of her albums.  When she broke my heart I had to burn all of them because it hurt me too much to have them around.

3) Do you have any nicknames?
*this is what I think he’d say.
Rick the Temp, Rick Campandspaghetti, Kung Fu Kitty, Candy Sass

4) Do you have a favorite hat? If so please describe or send us a photo of you wearing said hat

5) Do you have any hidden talents? If so, please describe, or send us a video of you demonstrating said talent.
*this is what I think he’d say.
During breaks on our show I entertain our cast and crew with various magic tricks.  I can also devour the tail of a lizard in 7 seconds flat, no lie.

6) Do you have a favourite youtube video? If so, what?
*this is what I think he’d like.

mac and me Well this is super exciting for me.  My favourite movie growing up was Mac and Me.  The movie is about Eric, a young boy in a wheelchair who has just moved to a new neighbourhood and a lost and scared alien, Mac who is also new to the neighbourhood and planet.  Mac and Eric become good friends trying to dodge the evil people at NASA who want Mac for experimental purposes.   For me, this was a movie that I could literally and figuratively watch over and over again.  So I am sooo very excited that Jade Calegory (the man who played Eric) was able to answer our celeb questionnaire.

1) What is your favourite 90’s sitcom?
Seems like a lifetime ago and nothing is really ringing a bell. Even now though I don’t really watch a lot of sitcoms, I mostly am into things like Hells Kitchen or No Reservations. Oh wait I do like Glee too.

2) Do you own any music by Rita MacNeil?

Nope… Am I missing out? (HELL YA YOU ARE!!)

3) Do you have any nicknames?
JRide and Onyx

4) Do you have a favourite youtube video?  If so, what?
Not a favorite video but I do have favorite channels. I was addicted to equals three and sexephil but have gone to youtube rehab and now only watch occasionally..

5) Do you have a favorite hat? If so please describe or send us a photo of you wearing said hat.
I wish I did. I love hats but every time I try one on I never seem to be able to pull it off, it’s sad.

6) Do you have any hidden talents? If so, please describe, or send us a video of you demonstrating said talent.
Tragically nothing like tying a cherry stem into a knot with my tongue but I did become pretty good with wheelchair stunts like launching the chair off flights of steps. I don’t know if that’s a talent though or just being a kid with a few screws loose.

I hope this helps and thanks for the honor of being apart of your blog!  (That’s right he feels honored to be part of our blog…so all you celebs out there that haven’t  gotten back to us yet…take some notes for the amazing actor/designer Jade Calegory..and get on it!)

Our latest interview is with Robert Munsch. Munsch is known and loved by many for his unique storytelling methods and his amazing children’s books. Munsch has written over 50 books, including The Paper Bag Princess, Mortimer, I love you forever and Smelly Socks
I approached Robert Munsch with 6 questions. He answered only 2, but don’t worry Bob…we will still Love you Forever (get it??). Instead of leaving his unanswered questions blank I’ve decided to answer them for him since I feel like we are very close (My mom is a super famous author too...no big deal)…so our lives are probably very similar.

1) What is your favourite 90’s sitcom?
*this is what I think he’d say.
I really liked Family Matters, I also really like cheese so I could really relate to Steve Eurkel.

2) Do you own any music by Rita MacNeil?
*this is what I think he’d say.
Are you kidding me? I love Rita MacNeil, half of my books are inspired by her music!

3) Do you have any nicknames?
*this is what I think he’d say.
Bobby, Bobster, The Munschster, Bobby M, Lloyd and Clive

Okay big news. We are officially the coolest people ever.  We’ve decided that since we are growing in popularity (1  trillion views a day, no biggie) that we should start interviewing Canadian Celebrities who we think are pretty awesome. And The Arkells front man, Max Kerman, was the first to respond! Thanks Max.

The Arkells formed in Hamilton a while back (formerly known as Charlemagne), and have been rising in popularity since the release of their kick-ass first album, Jackson Square, in 2008.  And to top it off, they won a Juno award for Best “New group of the Year” this past May. We were lucky enough to catch them at the Burlington Sound of Music Fest where they put on a stellar performance, followed by an encore of one of my all time favourite motown songs “Aint too proud to beg”.

So in short, we think they are great and you should too!
Check out Max’s answers below!
